Why aren't my changes showing?

Short answer
Usually a stale preview cache, an unsaved/unpublished change, or you're looking at the live site instead of Preview — hard-refresh, confirm the chat finished, and republish if needed.
Check where you're looking
- Preview updates automatically once a chat response finishes generating — confirm the message is actually complete, not still running.
- The live published site only updates when you hit Publish again; editing in chat never auto-publishes.
- A hard refresh (or opening in a private window) rules out browser caching of old assets.
Common causes
- You're viewing the published URL, expecting a chat edit to appear there instantly — it won't until you republish.
- The build errored silently for that change — check the chat response and Logs for a failure that stopped the update.
- Browser cache is serving an old bundle, especially right after a publish; a hard refresh or incognito window usually confirms this.
- The change was made in the wrong file or component — ask Lovable to confirm which file it edited if you're unsure.
- CDN/edge caching on a custom domain can lag slightly after publishing.
Steps to confirm and fix
- Refresh Preview with cache disabled (or a private window).
- Check the chat log — did the last message actually apply a change, or just describe one?
- If Preview looks right but the live site doesn't, click Publish again.
- If neither updates, ask Lovable directly:
The last change doesn't seem to be showing in Preview. Confirm which file was changed and check for a build error.
What usually goes wrong
People assume a chat reply means the change is live, when it may only be staged in Preview, or the message may have failed partway. Always read the chat response fully — Lovable will usually say if something didn't apply cleanly.

- AnswerWhy is my custom domain offline?Custom domains usually go offline because of a missing or changed DNS record, a certificate that hasn't issued yet, or the registrar's records pointing somewhere else — recheck the domain settings and your DNS provider.
