How do I change meta descriptions?

Short answer
Ask Lovable to set a unique meta description per page — a one to two sentence summary in the <meta name="description"> tag that Google may show under your title in search results.
What a meta description does
It's the short summary text search engines often display under your page's title in results. It doesn't directly affect ranking, but a well-written one affects click-through rate — people decide whether to click based on it.
How to set it
Add a unique meta description to each main page, 140-160 characters, summarising what's on that page and including the main keyword naturally.
Example markup:
<meta name="description" content="Custom furniture handmade in Melbourne. Browse tables, chairs and shelving, or request a bespoke quote." />
On a multi-route project, each page needs its own <meta name="description"> — a single one in a shared layout will apply to every page unless the project is set up to vary it per route.
Writing them well
- Keep to roughly 140-160 characters; longer gets truncated in results.
- Describe the actual content/offer on that specific page, not the whole business.
- Write for humans first — a description that reads naturally earns more clicks than one stuffed with keywords.
What usually goes wrong
- No description at all, leaving Google to auto-generate a snippet from page content, which is often worse than a written one.
- The same description copy-pasted on every page — as unhelpful for SEO as no description.
- Descriptions written purely for keywords rather than something an actual person would want to click.
