Should I build my whole website with one prompt?

Short answer
No. One giant prompt gives you a thin version of everything. Build the design system and home page first, then add one page or feature per prompt.
Why the mega-prompt disappoints
- Attention is spread thinly, so every page gets a generic treatment.
- Mistakes are duplicated across the whole site before you can correct them.
- Reviewing a huge change is hard, so problems ship unnoticed.
- Reverting means losing everything, not just the bad part.
The incremental approach
- Prompt one: design direction and home page.
- Correct the design until you would be happy to publish it.
- One prompt per page after that.
- One prompt per feature.
- Review the preview after each step and revert immediately if it regresses.
The exception
A deliberately rough first draft — "scaffold all the pages with placeholder content so I can see the structure" — is fine, provided you treat it as a wireframe you will replace, not as the finished site.
Practical habit
Bookmark a version whenever things are working. It turns "start again" into a two-click recovery.
