Why aren't form emails being delivered?

Short answer
Most delivery failures trace back to an unverified sending domain, spam-folder filtering, or a server function that's failing silently — check your email provider's logs (e.g. Resend's dashboard) first.
Start with the provider's own logs
If you're using Resend, its dashboard shows every send attempt with a delivery status — bounced, delivered, or blocked. This is the fastest way to tell whether Lovable's server function is even calling the API successfully, or whether the email left but never arrived.
Ask Lovable: "Log the response from the Resend API call so I can see if the send succeeded or failed."
Common causes
- Unverified sending domain: providers restrict unverified accounts to a test address or the account owner's own email. Sending "from" your own domain (e.g.
hello@yourdomain.com) needs SPF, DKIM and DMARC records verified — see how do I use my own email domain. - Landing in spam: correctly configured SPF/DKIM/DMARC significantly reduces this, but a brand-new domain with no sending history is still more likely to be flagged initially.
- Server function error swallowed silently: if the function throws before calling the email API, the form may show a success message while nothing was sent. Ask Lovable to surface errors rather than assume success.
- Wrong recipient address: a typo in the "to" address hardcoded in the function is easy to miss.
Fix prompt
Emails from the contact form aren't arriving. Check the Resend dashboard logs for failed sends, and make sure the function returns an error to the form if sending fails instead of showing success.
What usually goes wrong
- Testing only from Preview: confirm the same flow on the published site — environment/secret differences can exist.
- Assuming the email integration is still connected: integrations can be disconnected or keys revoked; ask Lovable to verify the Resend connection is active.
- Checking the wrong inbox: verify you're checking spam/junk and any email filtering rules before concluding delivery failed entirely.
Deliverability is genuinely fiddly to get fully right (domain warm-up, list hygiene, DMARC policy). If it matters for a real business, it's a sensible place to bring in PromptSites.com rather than losing enquiries to silent failures.
