UI generator (Vercel) · checked 1 Sept 2026
Lovable vs v0
Vercel's v0 is the strongest UI generator on this list, and if your app is Next.js on Vercel it is hard to beat. Lovable is aiming at something different: a whole product, backend included, for someone who does not want to choose a database provider. Both were re-checked on 1 September 2026 against each vendor's own docs and pricing pages.
Scorecard
Lovable takes 6 of 13 rows, 1 goes the other way, and 6 rows are a genuine tie.
Pricing and features change often — verify anything critical against each vendor's own page before you commit.

Pick Lovable when
You want one tool to produce the interface, the database, the login and the hosting, and you are not committed to Next.js or Vercel.
Pick v0 when
You are already on Vercel and Next.js, you want beautiful UI fast, and you are happy to pick and wire your own database and auth.
Lovable vs v0, dimension by dimension
Each row was checked in both tools. The badge says which one we'd pick for that row on its own — ignore the rows that don't matter to your project.

Fast AI-generated UI and full-stack Next.js apps, especially for teams already on Vercel.

Strengths
TieLovable
Backend, auth and hosting included, Postgres with visible security rules, real code, two-way GitHub sync.
v0
Outstanding UI generation, visual editing, and a tight Next.js, Git and Vercel deploy pipeline.
Limitations
Lovable winsLovable
Credits pay for building and running, so cost is hard to forecast.
v0
Best results are Next.js-shaped, there is no bundled backend or auth, and usage credits add up quickly.
Our take
v0 is excellent at interfaces. Design Mode, the quality of the generated components and the deploy-to-Vercel path are all genuinely good, and if your team already lives in Next.js the pipeline is seamless. The gap is the backend. v0 connects to Neon, Supabase, Upstash and others, but you choose, you connect and you own that decision. There is no native auth product — you reach for a template or wire a provider yourself. Lovable includes the backend as part of the product. Database, auth with several providers plus SSO, storage and server functions all exist without an integration step, which is the difference between a UI you can demo and an app people can sign into. Choose v0 for interface work inside a Next.js and Vercel world. Choose Lovable when the login page needs to actually work by Friday.
