How do I get Lovable to use my logo?

Short answer
Attach your logo file in chat and tell Lovable exactly where to place it (header, favicon, footer) — it won't guess sizing or position from the file alone.
Upload, then instruct precisely
Attach the logo image to a chat message and specify every placement you want:
Attached is our logo (SVG). Replace the text logo in the header with this image, height 32px, linking to "/" on click. Also use it as the favicon.
Without a placement instruction, Lovable may only use the logo in the first place it seems relevant, missing the footer, favicon, or loading screen.
Use SVG where you can
SVG scales cleanly at any size and works well for logos used at multiple sizes (header vs favicon vs footer). If you only have a PNG, provide the largest version you have — Lovable can resize down but not add detail back in if it has to scale up.
Common logo spots to cover in one prompt
- Header/nav
- Favicon (browser tab icon)
- Footer
- Loading/splash screen if the app has one
- Email templates, if you're sending transactional email via Resend or similar
List the ones that matter to you; Lovable won't automatically propagate a logo to every spot in one pass.
What usually goes wrong
- Only the header gets updated, and the favicon still shows the default Lovable icon — ask for the favicon explicitly, it's a separate asset from the header logo.
- Logo looks blurry because a small or low-resolution source file was scaled up — supply a higher-resolution or vector source.
- Logo colour clashes with a dark header — if you have a light and dark version of your logo, upload both and say which goes where.
- Aspect ratio distorted — always give a target height (or width) rather than both, so Lovable scales proportionally.
Once placed, check the Preview on both desktop and mobile widths — a logo that fits the desktop header often needs a smaller size or icon-only mark on mobile.
